Peace Tribe Rising
Peace Tribe Rising is all about empowering the peacemakers and people who are committed to living together in peace. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict can be viewed as a battle between two tribes with competing religious, national, and historical narratives and identities. We are empowering a new, shared identity: the Peace Tribe. Together, we are unfolding a future of reconciliation, peace and human rights for all the people of the holy land. We come from a wide range of backgrounds: Israelis and Palestinians, Jews, Muslims and Christians, and supporters of all stripes, colors and creeds, in the Middle East, the United States, and around the world. PTR is a project of the Middle East Peace Civic Forum, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

Ghassan Manasra: Peace Tribe Rising #3, with host Matt Lakenbach
Ghassan Manasra is the International Director of the Abrahamic Reunion, a group of spiritual peacemakers based in the Holy Land and the United States. In this episode Ghassan and Matt discuss the work of the Abrahamic Reunion and how to make peace between Israelis and Palestinians. The conversation touches on the role of civil society and its intersection with politics, the potential role of the international community in the peace process, and the role of the media. Matt and Ghassan also share about their work together going back to the founding of the Middle East Peace Civic Forum, when Ghassan was a Co-Chair of the International Board. Currently, Ghassan is on the Advisory Board of the Middle East Peace Civic Forum (www.middleeastpeacecivicforum.org.)
